I just installed my first Comet 32 and I ran into a couple of problems:
Two weeks ago we set up the new server and tested it with the latest and greatest and had everything running. But before I left I forgot to reset the license from my plug with a temp license to the correct one. Yesterday, after working that problem out, I could still not get the license to work so I called in the heavy hitters. Even after a reboot Comet would not recognize license.txt. Jim recommended using the numbered license. I did and it still did not take until I shutdown and restarted the services. Basically, the update license did not function.
Also, my menu did not work and I figured out that the num function was not returning a one(1) on alpha. Barb found that problem and it will be resolved shortly.
I ran a program that uses Report Generator. My bad, I should have known not too. Anyway, I received and error that the 16 bit compiler will not work on the 32 bit machine. OK, i get it. But, it locked up the comet session and being that I'm using remote desktop I could not kill the the session or the task. I think it should be a little better at this error because I'm sure I won't be the last one to try to run RPG reports on Comet32.
