This is so easy. Prior to MSGBOX there was VT6/QTERM (WC) commands. So QCRT attention was directed at the CONTROL line. EXTRACTS or any other application warnings used (WC). To clear any previous (WC) messages use PRINT (0) (WC);"". Daa! Drift to MSGBOX!!
