A bit more to add. Second situation, Comet 420 /16.

XP Pro SP3.

He had already installed the VS 2008 update for another software package. We tried the install and let in run thru the "Repair" option.

Problem today. A new WDL program that had been running fine Tue and Wed errored out yesterday (Thur) and today (Fri) in cosc or cosh. He's going to send me screen shots. First error is "you have an error" the second message contains an address which may be useful. Totally locked up all Comet sessions which had to be cleared out with Task Manager. wowexec.exe too. A rerun did the same but the program made it further down the file that was being processed before the error.

The WDL program runs without error on my delvelopment Win7 PC. I maybe able to test this on a Vista PC. I'll add that info to the post.
