From googling around it looks like this is another instance of a missing MS .dll. If you're running .423 and your Comet shortcut points to Comet.exe (rather than CosW.exe) the MS VS 2008 Redistributable should have been installed automatically if required. Perhaps you should try installing it manually. BTW which version of Windows is this on?
