P.S. once programmed robots for an IBM chip making facility.... the one thing we had to do was when trying to lock any process, or do any event driven tasks.... we had to fire off a subtask that would do the locking and setting flags... etc.... That was so that the main listener could always be aware of a severity "000" message (immediate life-threatening danger to the operator)

on a lighter note the message on the console for a "000" message was:

"danger will robinson... danger" followed by a loud horn... followed by "RUN"

I had to explain this to the IBM Deutschland staff and they required we change it before we shipped as the Germans had never seen "Lost in Space" :)
