I think you may have asked this before. Clearfile truncates the file, it does not erase/create it. It does this regardless of any other user activity on the file. Other users may have the file open and it will clear the file out from under them. If you want exclusive access to the file, use lock/unlock around the clear statement.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
