compatiable configurations

I am considering installing a new server for Comet and the network guys want Windows Server 8. If I run Comet Server 32 can I run comet workstation 16 or do I have to go to 32 on the work stations. If I do have to go or want to go to 32 is there a list of changes I might have to make?
