Truth to tell... trying to read the object is the _LAST_ thing I want to do
I figured if it "went pear-shaped" (as the Brits say), I could always re-compile it.
My question was really how to read the object in.... I first thought it was via a format like:
STRING1;_
STRING2;_
STRING3
where each STRING was the maximum (C16) of 254, but that number (3x254 => 762) doesn't match up with the actual length of 756
there's obviously more control information in the executable than I know about.
my wish list vis-a-vis figuring out the source name:
that the C32 codefiles save the entire 18.3 name (and maybe even the directory name too)
that there would be some way to extract the name from the code file on the fly (API????) much as FILENT does
Thanx
