Grant:

another question: using your suggestion to use (TP), not (TM), is it possible to use a single (TP) as the terminator of one field and the start of another. i.e., must I code:

(TP);some_field;(TP);(TP);some_other_field
-or can I get away with-
(TP);some_field;(TP);some_other_field

my screen is getting very crowded, and I fear that i might generate an impending collision. I have varying sizes of fields now, not fixed, and since I'm computing where the (TP)s are, and then positioning the cursor for scanning with a scanner gun, I'm not sure what happens when I lay one (TP) upon another.

Typically, I have plenty of "elbow room" on the screen and can easily position the (TP) before and after.

that was then.... this is now.

Thanx for the help

Apologies for any incoherence at 04h30 PM on a Friday during the summer.......
