Different thought. Since users have access to DocMgr, I don't rely on a needed document being there. I've set up a "forever" archive outside of Comet on the server "\\Cometarc\2011\Invoices\". I include the year so that in the future I could copy the 2011 PDF's off to a DVD and tidy up. Or buy a bigger disk :)


At the end of each invoice., I get the PDF's name by doing ...

CLOSE(1)
INPUT (#) PDFNAME$

I then build my archive name, ARCNAME$, and do a CopyFile (PDFNAME$, ARCNAME$, FLAGS).

I have a cross-reference file in Comet that drives the Invoice Lookup.
