Comet Explorer problem

Accessing client site via RDP.
Load Comet Explorer and try to access directory a Comet directory 'CDB' (6.76Gb/1,593 files).
Get 'Server busy' message with 'Switch to/Retry' options. Select 'Switch to' and start menu appears. After a couple of retries, the directory loads but not all files.
When I try to delete a file, get error message - Erase failed: System error 5 - buffer was busy during send.
Is there a problem with the size of the directory. Works OK on smaller directories.
