I am playing around with the new MySQL ODBC stuff in Comet32 and i'm trying to use a variable or variables to connect to a MySQL database and it does not seem to work.

for example if i use the following line in my program.....
result$=Control(SqlLun, "CONNECT dbname dbpath username password")
it works. I get (in result$) "+OK Successfully connected to server and database".

However if i attempt to put everything to the right of the equal sign in a variable or everything in quotes in a variable, it does not work. Has anyone tried doing this?

I am running Comet32 build 453 with REL & UTL 12.00
