QDIR rebuild including non-8.3 file names

was moving some files around and decided _NOT_ to use DOSCOPY, but rather:

1) copy files using Windows Explorer
2) re-create the QDIR

Imagine my horror when it chugged along for (what seemed to me) an inordinately long time and then announced that it had indexed 3800+ files

I guess I had assumed that the non-8.3 file names would be bypassed since they were surely not COMET files.

is there any way to rebuild it and ignore these "non-COMET" file names.
