CometAnywhere supports a single remote (slave) printer – the “#” printer. The physical printer that is actually used at the remote site is determined by settings at the remote and is configured by Cosw File/Print Setup menu option. There you can choose what physical printer you want represented by the CometAnywhere “#” printer. Like other Cosw settings, the actual printer information is stored in Cosw.ini file. If no printer is configured then Cosw will use the Windows default printer. Providing the printer chosen is capable, it should be able to handle your fancy print programs just fine.
In addition, the QCRT mnemonic (GetSessionPrinter) returns the Windows name of the configured remote “#” printer and (SetSessionPrinter = Name) sets the Windows name of the remote "#" printer. You don’t see these used much is they put the burden (and it’s big) on the support personnel of knowing what printers exist at the remote site – not a easy thing to do. You’ll find that letting the user decide via the Cosw File/Print Setup menu is the safest way to go.
