Emailing from Comet

We have changed to a new email SMTP server that requires authentication. Can the "user=" & "password=" mnemonics be added to my sendmail (SEMAIL) program or do I have to create an email.ini file?

If I can add them to my sendmail program, where should I put them? After the "MAIL FROM:" and before "RCPT TO:" ?

If I must create an "EMAIL.INI" file, where should i create it? Is there an example of this file somewhere with the authentication examples in it?
