I'd definitely provide the whole path for the image file even if it's in the Comet folder. If you don't want to hard code the path you can use the $(COMET) alias if you really want the image in that folder, like this:
FilePath$ = "$(COMET)\Wallpaper.jpg".
I found that the wallpaper does remain when you run another program unless you print (WallpaperRemove). Running QMONITOR will also clear it probably because it issues a (ResetScreen) when it starts.
Go ahead and give it a try!
