It is not an image file, it is more like a DC1-DC4 compression similar to what was used in the QSP protocol.

I already wrote a program in VB that is able to read QSPOOL files and talks to Comet's Spool Queues Job and DocMgr Queues.

It can actually operate without Comet and has been "reading" & printing QSPOOL files since 2006.

I am completing changes that will allow QSPOOL and DocMgr jobs to be printed anywhere even to Windows Printers. Imagine a spooled reports that can print to any Windows printers where the spooler program takes care of formating and page breaks.
