We are gearing up for the initial launch of our newest product: Comet Mobile. For those that were at the meeting, you have already seen the first proof of concept, and I'm sure the rest of you are anxious to see what we have been working so hard on for the past few months!
Many of you have requested that we release the demo program from the meeting so that you can start playing around with it. Well, over the next week or so I will be putting some final features together and (hopefully) stabilizing it for an alpha release.
Unfortunately, due to the tight control apple has over all of their devices, it's not a trivial process to release the app to you.
Anybody that wants to install the Comet Mobile app on their iPad will have to get me their UDID number. The easiest way to do this is to install the UDID app from the apple store, run it, then hit the "Send device info email" to my email. This way I can compile the app so that your iPad can run it.
Note that this will not always be the way we release this product - we are looking into multiple distribution methods, but for now this is the easiest and fastest.
Also note that this is a (VERY) preliminary version of what we envision our final product to be. There will be many changes to come, and a lot of those changes will not be backwards compatible with the current version. But this is a great time to get involved and put in some suggestions on what you would like to see next!
So get me your DUIDs and I'll let you know when the first release is available.
