Caveat - haven't gotten my first Win7 64 PC yet.
I think the font groups have no impact. The're just groupings to make the font list shorter.
I don't use Courier but I do use Arial. On my Vista PC, there are ten Arial fonts listed. One is "Arial" and the underlying file name is "Arial.ttf". On my Win 7 PC, the Arial group lists nine fonts. One is "Arial Regular and the underlying file is "Arial.ttf".
In my WDL programs, I use lfFaceName$ = "Arial" + NullByte$. So far, it's worked on XP-Win7 (32 bit).
