Say you're doing a Cash Receipts Register. At the start, the Z1 control record (*AR) is set to "R" for register in progress. And "U" when the update starts. At the end, it's cleared and the register number incremented.
If there's any kind of interruption, They user has to go back and restart the program. The "R" or "U" tells you whether to restart the print or the update.
LOCK helps protect the file from other users during the milliseconds you're setting the flag.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
