A Challenge

OK, here's a challenge for any math experts out there.

I'm trying to calculate line spacing as a relation to the Pitch size, or Characters Per Inch. I want to issue this command, for a Courier New font, and calculate LS

Print (lun) (TR);(LineSpacing=LS)

For example, I believe for 10CPI, LS wound be 8
for 12CPI, LS would be 6

I'm trying to figure out the relation between 8 and 10, and 6 and 12, and be able to apply it for any CPI size between 2 and 25.

Here are some Characters per inch, and line spacing that looks OK. I just would like a formula to calculate this, rather than use 25 if statements. Any ideas?
