It appears you can run the 11.4 server with Comet 2007.388. It requires Comet version .371 or higher however we haven't tested this combination. One potential problem could be if you plan to run Comet on the new server. Server 2008 R2 is not supported until Comet version 2010. I wouldn't recommend mixing that on the network with the old Comet 2007.
