I have not checked out the code behind Directory Listing, but I would guess there is a (FF) in there to advance the paper.
And remember the problem here is that all the print jobs that fail to move the paper properly work PERFECTLY when run in a local Comet session.
And, finally, Barbara did not emphasize that the printers (yes, it fails on more than one printer from more than one printer manufacturer!) are, hold on, stand fast, DOT MATRIX continuous form, printers.
