Well Jim and I discussed this and we're confused. Jim suggests trying making the Comet folder directly a share and then removing the "Shared Folders" portion of the path from the configuration info for your Comet.ini directories like this:
\\vmware-host\COMET\COS\

Then for sure you won't need the quotes. We know that won't work.
