I have the following setup on my new server:
"C" drive: Comet Services
"D" drive: COMET (where all the data and programs will be)
COMETSW (where the COMET software will be... REL, UTL, .CFG etc, etc)
I used VNC to attach to the console and was able to share
Comet Services
COMET
COMETSW
with everybody. All the COMET directories have a QDIR but are otherwise empty.
Once again, I get into comet (albeit without security or passwords) when I go directly to the console (via VNC) and click on my shortcut to go to comet.ext
yet, I get the following unhelpful scenarios, depending on how I try to get to the new server through the network. Having already set up a "G" drive on all my other systems, I get:
(1) from one, where the shortcut refers explicitly to the "G" drive, I get "this publisher could not be verified" and I have to click on "RUN" which then goes to item (3) below
(2) from another one, where the shortcut refers to the UNC ("\\ALLSYS2\DATA2\" I go directly to the following item (3) below
(3) this is the original list of my 69 libraries and the fateful words "REL not found" and an error message about the .I00 files not found.
Any suggestions would be welcome since I've exhausted the solution of "Sharing and Permissions" which was suggested by 3 people.
BTW... I haven't forgotten that I'm running without security... when I can reliably get to COMET, I'll then figure where to link my Security program and PASSWORD file to the login procedure. I've made changes to two systems and their passwords... however, I've never before had to setup the Security and Passwords.
Thanx
P.S. note the error message about the license file... :(
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
