Catch-64. Printer manufacturers have developed 64bit drivers for Win 2008 but not 32-bit drivers :( This can be a big headache when you go to install that printer on a 32bit PC.
One of my customers have two BIG mfc printers. They had to keep a Win 2000 server running as there were no drivers for Win 2003 or Win 2008.
Keeping the old server around and repurposing it as a print server is a good idea. Get a new printer with only Win 2008 64bit drivers and your back in the morass.
Since, Comet uses UNC, printers (hence drivers) don't have to be installed on every workstation. Putting a print job in a bottle and casting it adrift for \\server64\hpmfc seems to work OK.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
