A few more problems have surfaced vis-a-vis differences among:
PROD Server: Build 393 under MS Server 2003
TEST Server: Build 463 under MS Server 2003
NEW Server: Build 463 under MS Server 2008
In the past I could compile and test on TEST and copy over to PROD without incident (over 3 years, never)
For most of the current deployment of the NEW server, what has been copied over from TEST to NEW worked exactly the same on both machines
there are just a few things so far that work fine on PROD and TEST but, upon testing, won't work on NEW
I've verified this by copying a few Comet16 objects from either PROD or TEST to NEW and, after the programs fail, the different server (MS Server 2008) seems to be the only thing I can identify that's different and might contribute to a problem.
I'm continuing to try to find what is a contributing problem.... the MOVE statement is the only one I've uncovered so far.
For now, I'm sticking with keeping everything Comet16.
More to follow!
