Robert:
how did you finally design your DocProc.IBS program? I noticed elsewhere that you were considering using the .IBS program in XTL as a shell and then just passing off the information to a VB (VB.net?) program.
For myself, I'd like to display a menu and then select one of 3 printers (all dot-matrix) upon which to print, since re-printing a .txt file to a line printer ("green-bar") is all we need for now.
since the printers are all windows (Windoze :) printers would I have to either:
1) execute some MS "print" function to do it (way above my competence)
-or-
2) find the .txt file, open it, loop thru until the end... printing line-by-line as we go.
option (2) is more tedious, but I'd feel much more comfortable trying to do something in IBS than in MS. I figure I could do a DOSCOPY to an existing COMET collection of .txt/.csv files and then proceed straightforwardly from there.
Thanx
