E-comet on new server

We changed our server on the weekend from 2003 to 2008 (and Cometserve 11.4) and the only part of the system that is causing problems is E-comet. We are getting an error of File not found on G00 in the MDG program. I noticed there is a gateway G02 for XAP (we didn't need that before). Should that be used or do we have a comms/permissions problem?
