Bob,

Internally, for years, we have been calling it "The Dreaded FSTAT!"

I pulled in your program and ran it with no problem. I changed the count from 20 to 400 and ran again targeting several of my directories. Still no problem.

I do see that at the end of the directory, fstat gives us what prints in your program as a series of funny characters -- that is hex zeros.

Try this: add a "trace on" statement to the beginning and compile it in c32. Maybe it will show you an infinite loop in your program.

If not, let me know the last statement displayed by the trace, and perhaps we can reproduce it here.
