I think your cos directory is clobbered. You should erase all files in it and copy back the qstart file if necessary.

You could also copy a favicon.ico file to your xap folder so webserve could find it.

It is very strange that we seem to be looking for xap-0027 and xap-1027 files. Comet32 would create files such as xap0027. No dash.

erase your xaplog file, and when this happens again, send us the whole file and we can research it further.
