The way I handle this problem is :
1. copy the present QSTART2, QSTART2.I00 and QMONITOR.OBJ to a TEMP directory.
2.Install the new Latest REL directory.
3. Copy the two QSTART2 files to the new REL directory, and use Utility option 13 to install them in the Comet directory. File 252,K,32.
4. Copy the QMONITOR.OBJ from the TEMP directory into the REL directory.
Each new version of REL does not include the QSTART2 file(s) or any
previous custom changes made to QMONITOR.
