persistence of items in QDIR after delete via COMETEX?

using COMETEX, selected most of the files/programs in a directory and deleted them

afterwards... came in with traditional QTILITY/QDIRBLD (under the impression that this would maybe compress out the deleted space since I'm starting a new project)

was surprised that it seemed to show me all the just deleted files and asked me how to classify them

stopped the service and restarted it, but this seems to persist.

figured that deleting via COMETEX should remove them from QDIR, and there'd be nothing there for the QDIRBLD
