Take a look at your INI. You might have the Ignore E44 set to Yes.

[COMET SYSTEM OPTIONS]
First Partition = 000;
# of Partitions = 10;
# of Terminals = 3;
Time Slice Interval = 10;
Fast Write Option = NO;
Ignore Error 44 = NO;
