BB:

a somewhat disheartening result...

these are the last lines of the .LST file:

COMPILE COMPLETED
TOTAL ERRORS 0
ZZZZZZZ UPDISHLC.IBS 00000000 END
TOTAL ERRORS 0

this is the last line of the Output Window:

End compile - 1 error(s), 7 warning(s)

I thought it might be a case of "men left on base"... so I re-compiled another program (the only way I could figure out to clear the window), saw that it was 0 error(s), 2 warning(s) and re-compiled to get the same:

End compile - 1 error(s), 7 warning(s)

BTW... two things I should mention:

1) to make sure I was looking at rhe right .LST, I cleared it out before compiling
2) first time I mis-spelled OBJ as OPJ... got 2 errors then
3) I checked the time stamp of the .OBJ and it was appropriate... it matched the time stamp on the .LST.... so the .LST seems to be correct and the output window info was off the mark

Gotta wrap up some "end-of-month" tasks but I'll try to get back to this puzzle tomorrow

Thanx

Bob "A"
