That didn't work. I made the following change in WEBSERVE:
Try.with.Quotes:
CMD$ = 'OPEN ' + '"' + PATH$ +'"' + '@00@' !'! MUST be terminated
b$="path$ is ("+strip(str(len(path$))) + "):with quotes" + path$ & gosub log
Z$=CONTROL(0,CMD$,EXCP=Open.Excp) ! Open file
Goto FileIsOpen

and, it failed too.

What I ended up doing is copying the file to a stripped file name and then letting it through XAP. That works for now but maybe you have some other ideas.
