Keep in mind that Windows fails to recognize the unc name of its own machine. If the file resides on the same machine as comet, without special code, the UNC name would appear invalid.

There is special code in Comet32 (not comet16) that resolves this. The same code is in CometServe. If we are making a direct Windows call on your behalf and use a UNC nae that you supply, this Windows anomaly may come into play.

Would you please give us the exact path the program is using in this case?
