IB DOS file commands

I am trying to use the IB DOS commands to create and write records directly to a txt file outside of Comet. I have successfully been able to create and write records but the records are chaining one behind the other and I need to have a new line for each record. I tried adding a CR/LF to the end of my print format (@ODOA@) but nothing changes. Is there a way I can do this? Also, could someone please tell me how to set the file pointer to end of file after opening the file so new records are appended to the file and do not over write existing records?
