Yes, very interesting, if I remove the directory (DSK)which should let me go into comet as it will not find the idfile, but how can I erase the file from the (DSK) directory which is now not configured?

What if, when I load comet without the (DSK) directory I load IDMAINT and create a new file with known parameters, eg username and password in REL and have REL the first directory in the search path. It should then find the IDfile in REL. Allow access to (DSK) and allow me to remove the IDfile.

Are we able to do something like copy qmonitor.obj to cmonitor.obj to remove this level of security check?
