I always unzip Comet2013Install475.exe into the Comet folder on the server. On the workstations, I unzip Comet2013Install475.exe into their c:\comet folder. But, I drag the Comet.exe from the server share to the desktop and add the /PN. Somehow, creating the desktop shortcut from the workstation's comet folder, even with precision editing, just doesn't work right.
I also try to avoid spaces, dots, and understores in the path to comet. Make it as short as possible. \\server\comet\rel is the kind of UNC I like :)
