I thought my test program from last week made it clear that blank fields were the source of the problem. In any case, last week I thought it had something to do with blank fields at the beginning of the format. That's why this current one threw me off as the line was in the middle of the format. Now I'm thinking it has something to do with a blank field on a line that has (CR) at the end of it. The best way to troubleshoot is to throw the output into LPT and then open the file in UltraEdit and HexEdit. All is revealed that way. You'll see that the output with the blank field is coming up one ODOA short.
