actually, the only reason I was worrying about counting the records (input & output) is that I never got KeyBuild to properly complete and give me the final count of records with time stamp.
since the KeyBuild never completed properly (after running over 12 hours Friday into Saturday 1/2 August) I had to try to see if it really did complete and I just didn't have the audit of it.
At first blush.... 49MM went in, 43MM came out.... so, truth to tell, I was grasping at straws to reconcile the numbers.
the COMET was 485... the KeyBuild was from 486 since it gave me what I wanted... records counts and time stamps.
