Yes, this is curious. Comet32 is supposed to prevent you from being able to corrupt the value of a constant (ie 20). You were able to do that in Comet16 - at least long ago. Have you tried putting either LOG or TRACE statements in to detect exactly which line of code is producing the wrong value?
