It's the same problem I encountered about a year ago. End-use with an active XAP back-end supplying XML data to their website. They've had some fairly severe issues with Internet service - two suppliers, trying to balance data & phone, etc. The troubles caused intermittent EXCP 29. When that happens, my XML work files are "orphaned" as open. My erase/create exceptions ( file name includes Partition$ ) fail to clear the existing file and previously generated data at the beginning of the file is returned while the current data is at the end of the file. In hindsight I would set the filename as a sequential number.txt. The workstation is restarted every weekend so the TMP folder is cleared. In the meantime, I've modified the file create with a different name. But I'd like to deal with the open file issue. Do I need to restart Comet Services or restart the server to free up that open file?
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
