We need answers to all the familiar questions. Which version of Comet is this? Did this start when something changed? Does it happen at a particular time of day or when a certain program is run? Have you tried re-releasing Comet to rule out a corrupted CFAM.exe file? Have you looked at the CFAM log? COMCTL32.dll is a Windows file. Which version of Windows is this? Is running the latest updates? Your answers will probably prompt more questions ;-)
