Please confirm:

- You are using Comet.exe, not CosW.exe, as the program to run for your Comet shortcut
- These 2 files in your Comet folder: odbcd.dll and odbcdrv.exe
They must also be in your Windows temp folder. Comet.exe should copy them over when you run it.

If you can't get it running I'd suggest downgrading to an older version of Comet - perhaps Comet 2013 - if you're going to be running Comet16 anyway. That might be a good test.
