Sorry to mention politics on this forum, however the crap being spruikrd by the NRA on austrlian gun laws cannot be allowed to pass. What they are saying is total bullshit, no other word to describe it. Ted cruz's comments re rape are just plain wrong, not supported by any facts at all. Handguns are almost non existent. Gun licences are not hard to get if you have s valid reason, I have two rifles for shooting vermin on the farm, they live up on the farm, they never come off the farm and are secured in a metal tamper proof gun case. It would appear that middle America watched too many john wayne movies as kids and didn't listen to enough johnny cash, " don't take your guns to town son, leave your guns at home"'. Seriously, the open carry laws have me very hesitant to ever visit the states again and as you all know I love coming over there.
