Non Trusted Certificate

I wrote an IMAP library to access my client's Zimbra mail server.

When I OPEN the connection on port 143, STARTTLS and issue a SSL-ENABLE I get a popup about an "Non Trusted Certificate" and ask to Continue?

Is there a way to get rid of that Popup? Maybe find a Comet way to download and store the Certificate into Comet?

Anybody encountered this?
