What Grant said. The only thing I'll toss in is that I make this a part of every Comet PDF installation I do. After the Comet PDF printer is created ( and I always create 2, one that doesn't pop up for behind-the-scenes form archiving and a Comet PDFD, 'D' for display, that does launch the .pdf on the screen, use GUI.exe in the Bullzip folder ) I click on it and go into printer server properties. Call up Letter form and check box to create new form, I call it Letter, margins. Quarter inch margins all around, tenth inch on the bottom if you are generating mostly reports instead of forms.
And one more tip. With all the malware & ransomware, operator PCs are typically very locked down these days. This means it's nearly impossible to install things such as Comet PDF. Here's how I do it now.
Have the tech on site login to the PC as Administrator. Run Comet PDF install. Bullzip installation will install it's settings down the User\Administrator path and, of course, be unavailable to the user when they log in. So, while connected up and PC still logged in as Administrator, I send over my own .....\users\tom\appdata\Roaming\PDF Writer\Comet PDF and Comet PDFD folders. Locate them in the users path, .....\users\Julio\Roaming\.....
Once you've done that, go into the Printer name folders and modify the Settings.ini file to change the Output path to have the users name path. At that point the PC can be rebooted and logged in with the (restrictive) user credentials and you'll be able to run the GUI.exe program to maintain settings on the .pdf printers.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
