We were having a problem with a pdf print failing intermittently with E30 on our server. Drove us nuts. We finally resolved it by putting a PAUSE 36 after a (DrawBitMap). We think the drawing was requiring enough time that the pdf driver couldn't do the next write successfully.

Look at the error log for the user address of the WRITE getting the error and see what was printed just before that. Maybe you have a timing issue also.
